Download BCUPDATE2
The BCUPDATE2 utility is used to fix the NTLDR is missing error usually when there are too many files found in the root directory of the C: drive.

your bcupdate2.exe file doesnt have a download button that goes to that file. It gives advertisements to other crap that isnt what we want at all.

I thought the download instructions were fairly clear. The download link goes to megauploads site which is where I host my files for download. You must wait until the 45 second countdown timer finishes and then you will see a Regular Download button.
The files are hosted on megaupload.com because thousands of people download files from my site each day and my hosting can simply not handle the volume. Therefore I have no choice but to use a third party hosting site. It is very common to do this and it is free and painless if you read the instructions.
On the subject of advertising – There is just one advertisement on each of my pages on proposedsolution.com and in this case is located between the download instructions and the download link. This is strategically placed to try and catch your eye while you’re scanning down to the download link in the hope that you will be attracted to whatever is being advertised.
I believe Proposed Solution has very little external advertising or “crap” as you so nicely put it and the advertising that I do have is barely sufficient to maintain the growing costs of running such a website and that’s not including the countless hours put into writing the solutions, designing the site and providing the downloads for you.

I have downloaded the file and gone thru MS’s fix and I still receive the NTLDR is missing error.
Any info and help is much appreciated.

hi, I the same problem ‘ntldr is missing’. I checked the ms website and prompts to expand the utility to a floppy disk. Can i alternately burn this utility to CD to use as i don’t have a floppy drive.

I’d suggest burning bcupdate to a CD and running it from the recovery console.

Easy share has changed their site name to Crocko. They have the bcupdate2.exe download listed however i was unable to find an actual “download” button. Please help!
Hi Jacki, The button is on Crocko alright. It’s in the bottom right side and called ‘Regular Download’.
