This utility can be used to remove older McAfee VirusScan branded anti-virus products.

If you’re completely frustrated and annoyed with preinstalled McAfee products slowing your PC to a halt of if you just need to cleanly remove McAfee’s VirusScan products then vscleanuptool is for you.

VirusScan came preloaded on many Dells and HP for years and is very difficult to remove entirely.

Usage Instructions:

To download vscleanuptool please do the following:

  1. Click the ‘Like‘ button in the download area below to reveal the download links.  If you don’t see the link after clicking LIKE try REFRESHING the page.
  2. Save the file vscleanuptool.exe to  your desktop.
  3. Vscleanuptool is a automated tool.  Simply, double-click  vscleanuptool.exe and it will extract itself and run automatically.
  4. When complete, you will be shown a short report in an DOS window.
  5. Restart Windows to be sure.

This download is provided free and without any guarantee that it will solve your problems. 

You may however use it as you wish and distribute it freely to your friends and colleagues if it’s of some use.

    No, this doesn’t work with Windows 7. Have you tried using mcpr.exe…. you can download it from here: http://www.proposedsolution.com/downloads/download-mcprexe/
