Introduction:

A free trial of McAfee Anti-virus or another McAfee product such as Total Protection is pre-installed on many different PC’s when they are bought as new.  Often this pre-installed product is not wanted and often proves very difficult to remove.

Solution:

Solution 1:  Download and Run MCPR.EXE

1. Download MCPR.EXE by clicking here (opens in new window)
2. Save the file to your desktop
3. Run the file
   • Windows XP:  Double click
   • Windows Vista:  Right click and chose Run as Administrator
4. When the tool is finished running, restart your computer
